An economics expert from the West is contracted by a large firm to assist in the reorganization of a debt-ridden steel plant in the former Eastern Bloc. Believing himself to be eagerly awaited, he finds that his position has already been taken: Another man has already begun the job in his name, obviously with official approval. What first appears to be a strange mix-up soon turns into a threat to his existence when he discovers that not only his professional, but also his private identity has been assumed by the stranger.

Paula Rom and her family live in the suburb of a small city - happily and approved by society. Their average and inconspicuous life changes totally, when her 15 years old son shoots ten of his classmates and kills himself afterwards. From that day nothing is how it used to be. The whole family has to struggle with the anger and sorrow of the people around them. They need to deal with the assassination and the circumstances, how it could come to the disaster out of nowhere.

This comedy format on Sunday in prime-time, hence -and teasingly- entitled “Tomorrow Monday“, was a deliberately in part unpredictable mix of talk show, sketches and interaction with the Flemish public at large, including mass-dares (one caused a monumental motorway queue) and its own printed weekly magazine. Its fictitious character Xavier De Baere, the so-called “professional Goodbye-sayer“, ended each episode in a rattling flood of pseudo-eloquent semi-gibberish drowned in exaggeration, repetition and various elaborate nonsense, fitting his nerdy wrong-size jersey.
